Contractor mobilizes

12/01/09

The contractor mobilizes at the site and begins boarding up of windows on the ground floor.

Unfortunately, the contractor is halted with demolition of cast iron spandrel panels on the west side windows and two south side windows until a temporary protection of PATH equipment can be agreed upon.

The contractor continues to move ahead with painting of the boards at their facility and prepares to bring them to the site for installation. (This can only be done when he receives approval from our construction manager to install the boards.) The Agency’s architect and engineer will need to make determination on how window frames can be removed for safety reasons.
